You might have worked on some cool jobs before, but how about fog sealing around General Sherman in Sequoia National Park?
An Excerpt from the Summer Edition of the Pavement Preservation Journal:
The fog seal work on this project cannot go unrecognized. It was a project that required intense planning and precision execution. The operation required ingenuity and experience to complete successfully. The walking paths designated to receive fog seals were miles long, and access was difficult. Long-time VSS Operations manager Greg Erks fabricated special equipment to access the walking paths and transport the fog seal to the remote locations. Erks personally trained a special team of employees who took special care to protect the historic features of the park, as well as the natural elements from the fog seal material. All areas were protected with tape and shields were used to block any overspray. Erks and his team spent several months meticulously completing this work.
Another amazing job by VSS International and their exceptional crew!
