On September 17 in Modesto and September 24 in Sacramento, Reed employees and their friends and family raised $$20,452 for the American Heart Association. The 16 teams of over 70 volunteers walked in the Heart and Stroke Walk put on by the American Heart Association. Highlights include:
Sacramento Walkers: 37 Reed employees and their friends/family on eight teams
Chris Marr from George Reed, had the most money donated: $ 2882.55
Bobby Wheeler from VSS International, and Judy Kelly from 711 Materials, both had 5 additional walkers sign up.
Modesto Walkers: 33 Reed employees and their friends/family on eight teams
Chris Hughes from 711 Materials, had the most money donated: $2405.26 (outside of Jeff Reed's Vendor Campaign)
Donna Meister from Reed International, had 4 additional signed up walkers.
In addition to the Teams' donation campaigns, the Reed Foundation initiated a Vendor Campaign that was very successful:
