Modesto Children’s Museum

We at Reed Family Companies support many organizations that make our communities better. We encourage our employees to get involved in the community with the following programs:

• Reed’s Day of Giving: Where once a year, you can get paid a day for donating your time.

• Donation Matching: Every year you can get your donations matched up to $250.

• Signature Events: These are activities that our company does such as monetary & product donations to help support various groups within our community.

  
  

Our most recent Signature Event is with the Modesto Children’s Museum. RFC supported the museum with concrete provided by 7/11 Materials, and had just recently provided free tickets to employees & their families who want to visit this great new venue in Modesto.

Modesto Children’s Museum is a well-run organization that quickly went from idea to a brilliant execution within downtown Modesto. There are about a dozen different play areas where children can interact with air tubing, water wheels, climbing towers, and so much more.

To get the most value out of the Museum, you can plan ahead for rotating workshops each month like this January with a focus on Physics or February with a focus on Chemistry.

The museum even offers adult programming, where every few months you can relive your childhood with themed events such as April 25th with a Swords, Sorcery, and SciFi after dark programming.

For kids there are various week-long camps you can drop your kids off at, or even day camps for the various holidays they have off while we are crushing the competition at work.

We find our participation in making our communities thrive, through our job and donations is well worth the investment. Our social mission of caring for our people, customers, community, and environment overlaps with our business mission of profitably growing the business for our company success, employee success, and long-term viability. This in short means that we can do well by doing good.
