I enjoyed seeing everybody else’s perspective on things and learning just how important it is to know how to properly communicate with your coworkers and bosses in a way that they understand and embody.
My favorite portion of the program was meeting new people from all over the company. Meeting many potential future leaders. I also enjoyed the program’s focus on real world issue and practical skills we can use as well as the discussions that went along with them.
Seeing the perspective from all the different companies and learning that it doesn’t matter where you are we all share in the same leadership struggles. Everything comes down to your willingness to work together with your team.
My favorite thing I learned is how to better align my goals and priorities to manage my time. I feel like I am busy all the time, whether it be at work or at home. This class has helped me to differentiate between something that feels urgent and what’s actually important. I really liked the visual of the priority matrix which sorts tasks into 4 quadrants of what’s important, not important, urgent, and not urgent. This helped me focus on what’s important and what can wait. And of course, taking time to slow down, and do some intentional thinking.
