Managing Oneself: Empowering Others

The B.U.I.L.D Team

Updated: 5 days ago

Managing Oneself and Empowering Others is a course created by the Reed Family Companies to help leaders become self-aware of who they are, and then to empower their team.

Our leadership and development programs are based on the Reed SPIRIT principles.

The course is held every year between January and May. The first class graduated in 2020 with 35 employees. The course consists of meeting once every 2 weeks and includes reading 4 books, taking online courses and taking personal assessments. Each student works with a team of 3 to 5 employees across different Reed Family Companies. The teams practice communication skills by giving a presentation to the rest of the class on one of the course topics. Graduates will leave the program with a better understanding of themselves, their classmates, and the key steps to creating empowered teams.
