Linda Bartell, Laboratory Technician

The B.U.I.L.D Team

Updated: Oct 31, 2022

Designing and testing pavements for years has been solely focused on what we would call volumetrics, with the new interest and significant studies out of academia, contractors and producers are now having to focus on cracking of pavements. As part of this new push we try to design and test pavements using a new test called Ideal CT. This test allows the producer to predict and make adjustments to their mixes to prevent pre-mature cracking allowing pavements to meet their expected life span. Linda Bartell (GRI laboratory tech) has taken huge ownership in learning how to run this test and understanding the data. The fabrication and cracking of the test specimens is a lengthy and complicated process in which she has become an expert at performing.

Thanks to Linda, George Reed is recognized throughout the industry as being a leader in innovation and quality of pavements.
