Jason Stevenson, our Safety Manager, has been with us for 5 years providing safety and health, accident prevention, and investigation training for managers and supervisors. Every employee at 7/11 Materials has had some contact with him. He may have helped you get onboarded, or provided all your safety gear, or perhaps passed on safety advice. Everyone at 7/11 has had Jason’s help in one way or another in their job.
He assists management and supervisors in investigating accidents and developing measures to prevent recurrences. He also assists management in their daily, weekly, monthly inspection of workplaces to assure safe and healthy conditions for all our workers. Jason inspects all our plants, 4 Aggerate plants and 12 ready mix plants, on a monthly schedule which is not an easy task. In addition to all our sites, he is out on your jobs whenever you need him. He makes sure all plants’ safety needs are met. Jason says his number one job is to make sure all employees have everything they need to go home to their families safe every night.
Jason’s life has taken him in the direction of helping others. We who work with him know this better than most. Jason has a young family and still finds time nights and weekends to volunteer as a fireman for the Denair Fire Department, where he again keeps our employees that live there safe.
So, this shout out is for Jason Stevenson from all your co-workers here at 7/11 Materials.
