IT and 711 Partner to Implement Mobile Ticketing

As a "Thank You", Steve Case bought lunch for all of IT, plus Shawn Meza (Operations Manager @ 711) and Jeff and Margaret Reed (not pictured). Thank you, Steve!

Karen and Emily at 711 Modesto plant with batchman, Allister deGuzman, after training the Modesto drivers to use MobileTicketing on their new tablets.

711 Materials and IT at Basic Resources teamed up to successfully rollout Command Alkon’s Mobile Ticketing solution for 711 Materials drivers. 711 drivers will be using tablets that allow customer’s to confirm the product and any added charges at the time of delivery, then sign the ticket electronically. Signed tickets are emailed to the customer, eliminating paper tickets as part of our Go Green initiative. It’s a perfect example of TEAM work. Steve Case and Mike Wood from 711 headed up the project from the 711 perspective. Karen and Emily setup tablets and went to each plant in the middle of the night to train the drivers; Manohar took care of the system configuration; Michael and Emily updated the Command Batch Systems at each plant and converted to laser printers. (Vijay and Manohar brought donuts to the Modesto and Stockton plants to thank the drivers.) Shawn Meza, Operations Manager at 711, was instrumental in getting drivers to use the tablets and get customer signatures.

Congrats TEAM for another successful project rollout. Thanks to 711 Materials for the support.
