Leveraging of Technology: 7 -11 Materials employs end-to end technology for the Ready-Mix delivery process. It starts with the mobile ticketing system that eliminates paper tickets and allows the customer to confirm any added charges at the time of delivery. Dispatch technology allows tracking and optimization of delivery. The Self-Service Portal allows customers to track their orders for the day or by the job. The customer has access to invoices and digital copies of signed delivery tickets and can even pay by credit card. Use of technology saves our customers time and money.
Focusing on sustainability: George Reed Inc.’s sustainability commitment includes reducing the carbon footprint of road construction and materials production. GRI crews recently paved test sections for Caltrans on Highway 26 that contain up to 40% recycled asphalt or that contain recycled asphalt roofing shingles. GRI asphalt plant and quarry at Table Mountain use clean energy produced by Solar Panels.
Encouraging ideas with diversity of thought is how Reed International is making improvements to the recently acquired KASI Infrared products. Everyone involved with the manufacture of KASI, from engineering to fabrication to sales and customer relations, is contributing ideas to make improvements to the product’s function as well as to improve the fabrication process.
