George Reed and 711 Materials partnered to upgrade the roads and walkways around Modesto High School, making it much safer for pedestrians, bicyclists and drivers. The project extended about 0.7 miles southwest from First St to Sheridan St. Where H Street becomes Paradise Rd, the lanes were narrowed to two lanes. The project also provided bicycle lanes on several blocks, marked off with paint rather than raised berms. Several crosswalks in the neighborhood got extra-wide speed bumps. New roundabouts were created to handle traffic at two tricky intersections. George Reed did all the construction work and 711 Materials provided the concrete.
