The Sacramento chapter of the American Public Works Association (APCA) awarded George Reed for the Project of the Year for Phase 2 of the Grant Line Rd Widening Project
This project widened Grant Line Rd from 2 to 4 lanes, added traffic signals, and added a detached bike line to allow for safe pedestrian and bicycle traffic. We also updated, improved, and extended a culvert system where Elk Grove Creek passes under Grant Line Rd.
George Reed is grateful for their outstanding team's collaboration and hard work that led us to win 3 awards at the APWA Sacramento Chapter : Project of the Year Awards! The project involved 76,000 hours of work with no OSHA recordable accidents or near misses on this project! Thank you APWA Sacramento Chapter for highlighting this project, and thank you to Elk Grove, Dewberry, Knight CM, Preston Pipelines, R A Nemetz Construction Co, Inc, Pacific Excavation, and Western Stabilization for all contributions to this project!
And a big THANK YOU to all of our team members throughout the years who helped make these projects a reality. Together, we make the impossible possible!
