The Reed Foundation recognizes the important role that charitable, nonprofit organizations play in the communities where we live and work. We encourage employees to be involved and active in their community. The Employee Donation Matching Program is meant to help achieve this goal.
MATCHING GUIDELINES:
Any full-time employee may apply for one yearly matching donation between $25 and $250.
The donation must be made to either a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization or primary and secondary schools (public and non-profit) in the company’s geographical area of business.
Political groups, social clubs, athletic clubs and religious groups (except nonsectarian social service activities) are not eligible.
Must be a true donation – there will be no match for donations where the employee received a direct benefit (e.g. admission tickets, membership dues, raffle tickets, etc.).
The organization must match Company’s values and donation objectives. This would include organizations that either provide;
Community or social services
Educational services and development
Environmental stewardship or restoration
Civic improvements or restoration
Cultural or arts programs, events or services
To request a match, the employee will send the application along with proof of employee’s donation to Human Resources. *For donation match for Reed Day of Giving, fill out this form.
Matches will be made biennial. All submitted request for matches for Jan-Jun will be funded by Aug. 31st; Jul-Dec requests will be fund by Feb. 28th. If a match is made, the employee will receive acknowledgement of the match and the organization will receive a check from the Reed Foundation along with a letter indicating how the donation was obtained. If a match was not approved, the requesting individual will be informed via email or letter.
The Reed Foundation has budgeted $50,000 per year, for this activity. Once the budgeted amount is achieved no further donations will be made that year.
The Reed Foundation reserves the right to refuse any request and to change or cancel this program at any time.
Donation categories, organization and other details will be reviewed on a quarterly basis by the Reed Foundation.
