George Reed, Inc: Excellence at George Reed Inc is demonstrated from head to tail – from our quarry and asphalt plants to our completed construction projects. Early this year, our reputation for excellence led CalTrans to invite us to be on the short list of bidders to perform emergency road repairs due to storm damage. CalTrans was extremely pleased with the quality of the work performed by the construction crews and greatly appreciates our responsiveness to the needs of the traveling public. The plants also provided materials for Emergency Flood Control Response last winter. Most recently, over this Thanksgiving holiday weekend, we provided unsurpassed customer service by opening the Rio Linda Asphalt plant to provide material for emergency road work. The dedication to go beyond the call of duty and open a plant or work on a crew during a holiday weekend is greatly appreciated!
7-11 Materials: 7-11’s longtime loyal customers prefer working with us because of how we cater to their needs, especially when it comes to reliable scheduling. While we can’t always accommodate their desired schedule, they know we go to great lengths to ensure their job goes well. 7-11 Materials new portable plants business has required taking this extraordinary customer service to a new level. The project manager for the JVC Chowchilla job was appreciative of the great communication, quality of product, and reliability demonstrated on this massive job. The job has “gone better than mere words can explain” and it is the dedication of the 7-11 employees that made it possible. No matter the size of the job, field issues or breakdowns inevitably occur, but it is the willingness to work through these issues while standing by our reputation for excellence that makes the difference in the eyes of our customers.
VSS: VSS crews understand that excellence in pavement preservation is required to remain on the bid list for the National Park Service. During the Mesa Verde National Park project in Colorado, unforeseen heavy rain and other weather issues shortened the time allotted for the team to complete pavement maintenance at the campgrounds. By adjusting our work hours, we ensured that the campers were able to enjoy their vacation with minimal inconvenience, which was especially important because many of them had made reservations six or more months in advance. This meant starting later to avoid waking up campers and then finishing early so they could get back to their campground in the evening after a day of enjoying the park. We are proud to meet and exceed the high standards of excellence for the National Park Service. Likewise, the VSS plants demonstrate a commitment to excellence, not just with reliable quality products, but with teams committed to continuous operational improvement.
Reed International: Morsky Construction Inc. has purchased a fleet of Macropaver machines over the years because of its reliability and the excellent support they receive from our team. When Reed International introduced the new Continuous Macropaver earlier this year, Morsky was one of the first to purchase it because of their long-term satisfaction with the quality of our products. They were pleased with the performance of the Continuous Macropaver and the productivity of their crews achieved this construction season.
